iPhone lands on five more US regional carriers today, iPad launching in 12 more countries

As we mentioned earlier this month, the iPhone launches on five additional regional carriers today: Alaska Communications, Appalachian Wireless, GCL, Cellcom, and nTelos. Regional carriers allow residents in more rural areas to use the iPhone without any service disruption, and actually pay a little less for the device. The carriers will be offering the iPhone 4s for $50 less than the big boys and will offer the iPhone 4 for $99.
